you know what i really hate? those bumper stickers that say "why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing is wrong?"
That question has a very simple answer: we don't. This is for two reasons.
1. We don't "kill people who kill people." We kill only some of the people who kill people. We certainly don't have our soldiers executed. And we don't execute executioners. Or people who take their family members off life support.
2. "killing" is not wrong. murder is wrong. self-defense is not.
as cute as this bumper sticker is trying to be, i will deprive it of its use of synonyms, at which point you will see just how retarded it is:
"why do we execute people who murder people to show that murder is wrong?"
